After what seemed like an eternity of planning a shoot with Sophie, we finally met up to shoot. But of course, with Seattle going through what seems to be the weather equivalency of bipolar disorder (as defined by the NIMH), we got rained out. Or rather, rained in. So, after taking a few shots outside, we surrendered to the sudden and relentless rain, and took refuge in our favorite red department store.
The environment was a challenge for the Leica SL's auto-white balance, considering the strange mix of fluorescent light and strong colors, but I managed to recover some life-like tones in post-processing.
Here are a few shots from our very improvised (ironic, considering the copious amounts of time spent planning) shoot:
Shot on FujiColor 200 35mm negative color film, a Nikkormat + 50mm 1.4 Pre-AI, and Leica SL + Zeiss 35mm 1.4 Distagon.
