Artistic Value

For the past couple of months, I've been pretty unproductive as a photographer. As a full-time engineering college student, it's hard to find time to plan and carry out shoots during the academic quarter. This has been exacerbated by Seattle weather being extremely uncooperative and honestly quite miserable for the past couple of months. 

But, I can't blame the weather too much--my main responsibilities do remain first and foremost, as a student. So, when I get the chance, I can resume my passion as a photographer. 

However, it does seem unfair to say that I can only be either a student or an artist. These two are not mutually exclusive. This is demonstrated by my friend and classmate, Lauren.  As an artist and student, Lauren combines her love of art with her role as a student and produces some of the most unique and inspiring pieces I've seen.
