Ever since I got a Leica Q again (more on that in another future post), I’ve been enamored with the 28mm focal length. After selling my Zeiss 28mm 2.8 Biogon ZM, I was itching to get some Leica glass to fill the 28mm M-mount void. Well, a used Leica 28mm 2.8mm Elmarit ASPH Ver. I seemed like the perfect replacement.
Immediately after picking it up, I headed towards downtown Seattle to put the Elmarit to the test. To my luck, Sakura-Con 2019 was taking place over the same weekend, so what better way to put a lens through its paces than photographing an event that attracted thousands of cosplayers?
